- Computer modelling (e.g. LS-DYNA Finite Element Analysis and MADYMO) to study the injury biomechanics of
motor vehicle occupants, particularly brain injuries
- Physical crash test reconstruction of real-world crashes
- Mechanical properties of human tissue, predominately paediatric tissue properties
- Injury assessment functions of anthropomorphic test devices (ATD’s) i.e. crash test dummies
- Training researchers in injury coding using the AIS (Abbreviated Injury Scale)
- Biomechanics of sports injuries (stress fractures and medial tibial stress syndrome) using computational and mathematical models.
